After spending several hours yesterday at the mine field where James’s Grandfather worked and lived when he arrived in New Mexico, we then spent the morning at the Museum, which was really interesting. We then went to Morley, where he later moved and then died. Whilst we were there we pieced together more of his life and realised that he and the family moved there.
The church at Morley, that cost $2,300 to build back in 1907 and was completed by the miners in 1917
Yes I really was mad enough to wear flip flop’s to climb a mountain that still had snow and there were also rattle snakes!!!!
We spent slightly longer on the mountain when Carolyn reversed her truck into a ditch!! This one’s for you Jack.
A final photo call with our new friends before heading off on the final part of the journey.
