From Russia with Love

The day had all the elements that you would expect from a Russian wedding, Gold, Glamour and Glitz.

It was s sunnier than expected Wednesday in September bought a lovely mid week wedding at Leeds Castle when Russian Bride Marina married Tim. The sun streaming in through the windows of the castle made for really beautiful lighting for the photography.

Gold and Ivory

The gold and ivory colour scheme was very sophisticated and understated but had a huge WOW factor. Leeds Castle recommended the couple speak to me when they arranged their wedding and after looking through some albums I think they booked up quicker than any other couple.

It really was all that glitters is gold, from Marina’s shoes to their matching diamond-encrusted wedding bands!

For me, it was Marina’s veil that topped it all off and her flowers with orchids that looked like butterflies in her bouquet of ivory flowers.

The three bridesmaids and one flower girl all wore flower crowns and looked stunning in their gold gowns.

A trip in a Boat around the Moat

Tim and Marina were quite confident of their photography requirements and, after all, the family group pictures were taken they wanted to take a boat trip around the castle, something I had not ever done with a couple in all my years of photographing at Leeds Castle.  It was a very nice experience and I sensed that they enjoyed the romantic time out, that many couples crave after the ceremony.

We had time to take some more romantics shots around the castle before they were seated for their wedding breakfast and we left them to enjoy their evening. The couple toasted each other with rose and pearl encrusted champagne flutes.

Oh that Cake

The magnificent cake all 4 tiers looked (and I bet tasted amazing) was decorated in ivory and gold to match the theme of the day.

As a recommended Kent Wedding Photographer for Leeds Castle, it is always lovely to photograph at the castle.
