After celebrating a very successful 2014 wedding season my thoughts turn to 2015.
With the popularity of wedding proposals at this time of year I asked one of my 2015 couples, Avril and Ant to tell their story and here it is, to illustrate I have included some of the lovely photographs taken at their pre-wedding photo shoot displayed in the form of a guest book which is one of the options for couples to use the pictures after the shoot ….
Ant and I first met (boring as it sounds) at work in 2010. Ant took over a restaurant that I was working in and therefore became my boss! As you can imagine the relationship was difficult to get started as we had to keep it quiet from the rest of the group. We actually dated in secret for the best part of a year from January 2011!
It wasn’t until August 2012 that we went on our first holiday together to Kos, Greece and we found a place that truly won over our hearts up in a small town in the heart of the Zia Mountain. The views were spectacular and we certainly witnessed a magical sunset together that took our breath away and we both knew that that place would stay with us forever. In September 2013 we returned to Kos for what I thought was just going to be a chance to return to a place we enjoyed and to do the things that we were not able to do on the last visit. However we knew that one place that we wanted to go back to was the Zia Mountain with myself thinking it would be a nice moment to share again, Ant had other more romantic plans! We found a quaint Greek restaurant tucked into the mountains overlooking the island and the beautiful sunset was again about to start – we ordered our meal and I found it remarkably strange that Ant did not eat much of his meal as he was not very hungry, once I finally eaten my dinner (in Ants eyes I must have been the worlds slowest eater!) Ant and I were talking and he started getting very soppy with the line I just want everyone to know how much I love you, Ant made us stand up in the restaurant! After a speech to the diners in the restaurant about how much love Ant had for me he got down on one knee and brought out a gorgeous ring and asked the question that I had been longing for him to ask…..Naturally I said yes! We were then greeted by lots of cheers and randomly became celebrities as people were talking pictures on their cameras for their holiday snaps! The rest of the holiday was spent staring at my ring and realising that I was now Ant’s fiancée.
With so much planning for the wedding it was really a great idea that we could have a pre wedding photo shoot to get used to the photographer and to especially put Ant’s mind at rest as he does not enjoy having his picture taken! Yvette was fantastic at reassuring Ant and making it as comfortable for him as possible and we had a lot of fun on the day. We truly had a great time getting to know Yvette and also Ant felt very relaxed with her. Some of the pictures were brilliant and captured exactly the feelings we were going through together on the day, very connected, loving and happy. Yvette was great and letting us be natural but finding the best positions for us to be holding each other etc.
If the pre-wedding shoot is anything to go by we are going to have one fantastic wedding album! Ant and I are both incredibly excited about the Wedding and can finally say that we are getting married this year! 2014 seemed to go on a life time and we were both wishing for the New Year to come. Now with less than 18 weeks to go we are adding the finishing touches to what we know will be a magical day – I know every bride-to-be thinks that their wedding is the best, and I am certainly no different but we are both just looking forward to the day where we can be Husband and Wife, Mr and Mrs and know in the years to come we will have awesome memories backed up with some gorgeous photographs.
I am really looking forward to their big day!
