I have been a bit slack on the blog posts of late, there has been so much going on and with the wedding season in full swing it is always hard to find time to get round to posting on the blog! So I am kicking off a return to blogging by featuring a recent Pre wedding photo shoot.
The first time I met Charlotte and Jacob
I remember the first time that I met Charlotte and Jacob at the Wedding Experience’s April wedding fair at the Detling Show ground, they told me that they were having a country wedding on Charlotte’s family farm and the ceremony would be conducted by a wedding celebrant. In my head I imagined cows, crops and Hunter Wellies……
The Pre Wedding Shoot
I normally would not take my pre wedding photos at the same location as where the wedding is taking place as I find couples prefer to keep the venue special for the wedding day, however as there was no opportunity to see the farm ahead of the wedding I suggested that I meet the couple at the farm.
Charlotte warned me that it was just trees, no animals…. It was not until I followed the instructions of how to find them on the day that I suddenly realised that the farm in question is in fact one of my favourite juice brands Chegworth Valley Juices.
A Morning on the Farm
The day itself was perfect, the sun was shining so we headed off into the orchards to take some of the photos, before returning to the back garden to see where everything would be set up on the day.
Why have a Pre Wedding Shoot
The idea of a pre wedding shoot is to help the couple feel relaxed a comfortable in front of the camera, so that on the wedding day they will have already experienced being photographed by me. I always recommend that the couple wear clothes that they would on a casual date night.
Other things we discuss is the best way to stand, what to do with your hands, what to do with the bouquet on the day and if there are any height issues we discuss how these can be overcome, but generally we have fun and keep things very light and informal.
Here is just a small selection from the day.
