My son got married
My son recently got married and it was hard not to want to take all the photographs! As a Kent Wedding Photographer it was hard to not take all the photos, I did however get to take the couple photos!
This Blog is written with a big smile as Oliver is my Son and it was a very proud day on 20th September to see him marry his sweetheart Jess.
I wanted so much to do their wedding photography for them but this day was so special that I left this very important job in the hands of the Yvette Craig Photography team. Nicola was supported by a second shooter for the groomsmen’s photography, with pictures being taken at my house, which many of you know is undergoing some redevelopment done to it!
I decided I did not want to miss the important moments behind the camera, but I did promise Ollie and Jess that I would take the camera for a short time whilst the other guests were enjoying a drinks reception, I couldn’t resist!
It is doubly important to show these photographs as they showcase the work of my second shooters and when you book you can be assured that I am supported by a team of photographers who photograph in my style. Thus having a set of pictures that sit together perfectly rather than looking like they are from two completely different photographers. My team has been together for many years and as such you can rest assured that the second shooter at your wedding will only be someone I have full trust in.
It was a lovely day at a Hotel in Ashford, where we live. The colour scheme was turquoise with the bridesmaids complemented with summer tones in the floristry by Mel Francis. Jess looked stunning in her Dress from Tiara and Tails. An early hitch with the hairdresser left the lovely Lauren from US Cookies stepping in at the last minute to save the day, along side makeup by Claudia from Beautilicious making Jess look beautiful.
The gardens were dressed with pom poms for more dramatic photography. Bluebell Kitchen’s made their beautiful cake, well done Erica and Charlie, you did not let them down.
After the wedding pictures were taken the guest sat down for the wedding breakfast and later the guests partied the night away a photo booth gave much amusement!
Below are a few of my favourite pictures from the day, and their photofilm http://youtu.be/LyFTiPaqlz4 Please let me know what you think in the comments below.
