Wedding at Barnet Hill
Wow what a setting for a wedding at Barnet Hill, I always knew that I was going to love Lorraine & Spencer’s wedding, from the very first meeting with Lorraine at the Detling wedding show run by the Wedding Experience, when she noticed one of her Mum’s friends daughter’s album on display at the show, and then when I met Lorraine and Spencer in the Studio.
At the pre-wedding meeting we spoke about what we would do if the weather was extremely cold or rained, and the fact that Lorraine really wanted a photograph with umbrella’s, what we did not consider was the fact that the day would be the hottest October on record!
On the day I arrived with my second photographer at Barnet Hill to be greeted by a couple of the guests in shorts! As we had never photographed at the venue before we arrived early so that we could have a really good look around the grounds, which are absolutely beautiful and even have a brick built child’s play house, complete with a small AGA! What little girl would not want that to play in as a child? Once we had had a look around it was off to meet with Lorraine and Spencer, I went and met with Lorraine and the girls and Emilie went off to find Spencer and the boys.
Lorraine had selected not one but 4 pairs of shoes and a pair of wellie boots, which she was determined to wear even if the weather wasn’t playing ball and actually raining! Her flowers were from Lavender Green who did all the bouquets as well as the table decorations, Most of the Shoes were from Office, however her main shoes were by Benjamin Adams.
Spencer and his Brother (who was also his Best Man) were in morning suits with matching purple accessories to compliment the bridesmaids purple dresses.
Barnet Hill was a perfect drop back to the day and really suited the smaller wedding that Lorraine and Spencer had chosen fore their day.
The cake was hand made by a friend of Lorraine’s and consisted of smaller two tier cake with one large cake on the top. The favour’s were pick n’ mix sweet’s and guests helped themselves to.
The evening was beautifully rounded off with Lorraine and Spencer surprising their guests with their 1st Dance that had been specially choreographed for them and the guests then dances to the sounds of The Mobile Music Company
Here are a selection of photographs from the day.
