Hever Castle Winter Wedding
I absolutely love a winter wedding and Hever Castle was the perfect setting for Lisa and Kevan’s January wedding.
With the scent of Christmas still in the air, this was special day was January 3rd 2014, my first wedding of 2014 and what a great occasion to start the new year with.
This lovely couple Lisa and Kevan from Cranbrook came to see me in October. I was extremely excited about their wedding from our first meeting, knowing that the fantastic venue Hever Castle makes a stunning location for any wedding and an amazing backdrop for photography.
The bride was picture perfect, she wore an ivory dress from Teokath of London and a floor length cape by the Gowning Room, whilst the Groom and Best Man and Best Friend Simon wore grey morning suit.
It was an intimate wedding and the bridal party were all family members, with Kevan’s daughter Georgia, a beautiful bridesmaid and sons Charlie and James as ushers, they looked lovely.
The ivory flowers were matched the neutral colour scheme, dramatic against the castles dark tones. Two fabulous cakes were made by Sarah a friend of the couple.
In an intimate ceremony the bride entered to Dante on a Hurdy-Gurdy to the guests delight.
Afterwards 40 guests enjoyed a reception with the speeches staggered throughout the wedding breakfast. There was an atmosphere of love and happiness in the room and laughter and applause when Kevan danced to his favourite song ‘Dancing Queen’!
Later all were treated to music from a live band, as they danced the evening away.
If you would like to watch highlights from the day, the couple chose to capture it on photofilm, click here to watch
Thank you to Lisa and Kevan and all their Guests
