Wedding Photography at Brandshatch Place

We enjoyed another great day of wedding photography at Brandshatch Place last month.  Alison & Nick’s beautiful wedding started at St. Margaret of Antioch. The Parish Church of Barming is a 12th Century gem set in the middle of a field, which makes you feel as if you are in the middle of the countryside, despite being minutes from Maidstone. Their reception at Brandshatch Place Hotel and Spa in Kent is a sophisticated Georgian mansion built in 1806 and stands proudly in the lush countryside known as the Garden of England. It is one of the finest country house hotels in Kent, and the perfect wedding venue with it’s 38 individually and beautifully furnished bedrooms.

About the Day

Having met Alison and Nick only a few months before the wedding we immediately connected and I knew that I was going to enjoy capturing their special day. It began early with myself going to meet Alison and her bridesmaids at her parents home, whilst my second photographer meet up with Nick and the boys at St Margarets. Alison’s wore a dress from ‘La Sposa’ range called Medellin which she brought from Isabella Grace at Tunbridge Wells, and which was absolutely perfect for her. Her flowers were a mixture of pink and cream roses and peonies. The bridesmaids wore sage green and the flower girl wore an ivory dress.

The men all wore morning suits and the page boy wore a kilt to reflect the Scottish side of Alison’s family.

Alison traveled to the Church in a Vintage Rolls Royce with her Dad.  Following the requested formal family photos at the church, Alison and Nick travelled to Brandshatch Place in the Rolls Royce, where we photographed the less formal groups, confetti and Alison and Nick.

Following the wedding breakfast, the evening was kicked off by Discologic.

Looking forward to undertaking more wedding photography at Brandshatch Place in the near future!
