2015 Weddings a Year in Review
I love to look back over the past years weddings and relive the moments that made the year special, so here is my 2015 weddings a year in review as a Kent Wedding Photographer it is always lovely to work at such fabulous venues
Lympne Castle Wedding – Kerry and Stuart
The year started off with the wedding of Kerry and Stuart at Lympne Castle, the day whilst having beautiful blue skies was extremely cold so the majority of the photography had to be taken inside the castle as it was too cold to venture outside! In all the years of shootings weddings at Lympne Castle I have never had to photograph the groups in the panelled rooms.
Three of my favourite images were those of Kerry and Stuart outside for the confetti and the image of Kerry and her Dad as he walked her down the isle in his military uniform to Stuart who was waiting for her to exchange wedding wows.
Leeds Castle Wedding – Teresa and Abi Wedding
Teresa and Abi got married the weekend before Easter at Maidens Tower, Leeds Castle and the theme for the day was Easter with beautiful pale pinks and gold with the Lindt Bunny featuring very high in the celebrations!
Teresa and Abi had a ceremony in India a few weeks before their ceremony in Kent.
Spa Hotel Tunbridge Wells – Lauren and Alex Wedding
Lauren and Alex’s wedding in Tunbridge Wells followed by a reception at the Spa Hotel Tunbridge Wells was a really relaxed wedding. It was the first time that I had photographed at the venue and it really did not disappoint…
Lauren and Alex had their friends make up the wedding party from their days at University.
Leeds Castle Maidens Tower – Avril and Ant’s Wedding
Orange and Hot Pink was the theme for wedding of Avril and Ant who were married in a church in Sittingbourne followed by their reception at Maidens Tower Leeds Castle. I loved how they selected vibrant colours and brought the whole theme together.
Avril’s dress was one of the dresses of the year for me, it was absolutely stunning and had been customised by her Mum to make it her own.
Leeds Castle Wedding – Joanne and Leigh
Leeds Castle was the setting for this Raspberry Pink and Ivory Wedding.
I have to say that this wedding was one of most memorable… Joanne and Leigh have a long son and he and I bonded!
Joanne and Leigh had planned their wedding the year before because Leigh works overseas and so they had to do as much as they could in the time when he was home.
Leeds Castle Wedding – Samantha and Richard
It seemed that a good percentage of my weddings were at just two venues in 2015!
Samantha and Richard were married in the main castle at Leeds Castle.
Samantha parents family friend owned a vintage car so for the couples photos we included the car in many of the photos.
Marque Country Wedding – Charlotte and Jacob
The first time that I met Charlotte and Jacob it was at the Wedding Experience Wedding Fair at Detling and they told me that they were getting married at Charlotte’s family farm near Leeds Castle.
In my mind I saw cows and sheep! However it was at the pre wedding meeting that I realised that Charlotte’s family farm is Chegworth Valley Juice Company.
My initial disappointment of no cows were completely removed when I saw just how amazing a wedding in a orchard is! The ceremony was performed by Katie at True Blue Ceremonies
Saltwood Wedding followed by Lympne Castle Reception – Iona and James
The day was absolutely perfect when Iona and James exchanged vows at Saltwood Church.
Iona and the girls had got ready for the wedding at Eastwell Manor and had travelled to the church in a vintage car, whilst James and the boys got ready at the local pub.
After the wedding the three of us went to Hythe Beach to take some photos away from the rest of the guests, these are some of my favourite photos from the year.
Iona had not one but two wedding dresses both by Maggie Sottero
Lympne Castle Jewish Inspired Wedding – Bec and Jeremy
It was a case of northern hemisphere marries southern hemisphere when Bec and Jeremy said ‘I do’ at Lympne Castle, their families had flown in from New York and Australia to witness the celebrations.
Jeremy’s family are Jewish and as such they both wanted to incorporate elements of his religion into the day and as such they had Karina at Simply Ceremonies perform the wedding ceremony.
I hope that you enjoyed reading my 2015 weddings a year in review as much as I did writing it
